Zoom Application Documentation

The Study Together Zoom application allows you to use your Zoom credentials to log into and access Study Together. For this reason, we will request certain information from Zoom which will allow us to identify returning users and give you access to your own personal page with your study statistics and information.

Below are some details about what you can expect:

1. Installing the Study Together Zoom app

To install and use the Study Together Zoom application, simply go to app.studytogether.com and click on the Zoom login button. You will then need to give consent for us to use your Zoom account as a login.

2. Usage

In order to create your account on Study Together we ask for the following data from Zoom:

  • Email address
  • Name

Here we use the “View your user information/user:read" scope. You have to give consent in order for us to access this information. Your email address will be used as an identifier and will not be displayed on your profile. Your name will be displayed on your public profile on Study Together and will be visible to other users.

3. Uninstalling the Study Together Zoom application

  • 1. Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace
  • 2. Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the Study Together app
  • 3. Click the Study Together app
  • 4. Click Uninstall

4. Troubleshooting

Using multiple social login providers
If you already used another social login with the same email as the one used in your Zoom account, you will have to continue using the other provider. You won’t be able to register with more than one social login provider when using the same email address.

Un-installing the application & deleting my account
If you uninstall the Study Together Zoom application your account will be deleted and you will no longer be able to see your study history. If you then choose to install the Zoom app again by logging in using Zoom, we will create a new account without your previous study history.
